55th Reunion and Beyond
Barnard Class of 1962
Join our Open House Zoom Sessions
Next session in September 2025
Following our 60th reunion in 2022, members of our class have gathered more than 25 times in afternoon Zoom sessions. During the past three years, more than 100 classmates have joined, and about 30 are regulars. Since 2023 we've been meeting every month – with a short summer break – to share more than the type of news that goes into Class Notes.
We have appreciated hearing about each other’s experiences of downsizing, moving, and adapting to physical changes. Beyond these practical matters, during the past year we’ve talked about spirituality and belief, and goals for the rest of our lives.
Online technology has made it possible for us to renew old friendships – and to make new ones.

A Short Guide to barnard62.net
We started this website at the time of our 55th reunion in 2017 to perpetuate memories from that event and to be a way of sharing news about ourselves between reunions. DESKTOP USERS: Above the website title and photo (taken at the Class Dinner) you should see a sequence of short titles of the pages of this site (black text on white). You can click on any title to go to that particular page. At the right of the string of short titles you may see three dots [ ••• ] and a magnifying glass shape. Click on [ ••• ] to see the titles that don’t fit on the line and you will get a drop-down menu with all the remaining titles. Click on the magnifying glass to search for a name or word. MOBILE USERS: If you are viewing the site on a mobile phone, you should see at the upper left of your screen a black box with three parallel white lines. Click on the box to get a drop-down menu of the pages of the website.
CLASS NOTES: Starting with Winter 2020, we will be posting the entire content of Class Notes, including both what appears in the Barnard Magazine and the overflow text and images. Also, see items that have arrived between issues under the heading INTERIM NEWS.
You’ll find all the 55th and 60th Reunion materials towards the end and all the new information up front.
The In Memoriam section remembers classmates who we have recently lost. If you would like to add your comments to In Memoriam, or any other page, please e-mail to
